Nifty Pharma index ended up 2.46% at 17274.3 today. The index has added 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Lupin Ltd jumped 6.21%, Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd gained 4.99% and Biocon Ltd added 4.17%. The Nifty Pharma index has increased 38.00% over last one year compared to the 19.06% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has slid 1.37% and Nifty Private Bank index is down 1.17% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.35% to close at 21665.8 while the SENSEX has declined 0.53% to close at 71892.48 today.
